I noticed in another video a girl in Western clothes accompanying the Maiko and opening doors for them. I think she is in this video wearing a simple kimono. At 3:55 she brushes against a lantern and is told to stand in the correct place. I assume she is a trainee Maiko?
I notice they have the summer season hair ornaments on. I always wonder how their makeup does not melt off when it is so hot and humid, with wearing the kimono layers. It gets so hot after the rainy season.

やはり京都の舞妓芸こさんははんなりしていて物腰もきれいですね。言葉つきや相手にたいしての礼儀挨拶など、辛い仕込み時代に賜ったものがあると思います。綺麗な着物を来ているからの舞妓さんではなく、中身からしっかりされているように感じます。独特の京都らしい芸舞妓さんはとても素敵だと思います。
